ADEPT is proud to be a supporter of this year’s Highways UK which returns to the NEC on 8 and 9t November with more content, more exhibitors and more delegates.
Highways UK is a major event for the people and organisations involved in the planning, designing, building, operating and future-proofing of the UK's road network.
ADEPT is hosting an industry briefing session from 14.00-15.10 on 8 November on 'Highways maintenance funding for local roads'. Speakers include Parvis Khansari, Chair of ADEPT Engineering Board and Director, Highways and Transport, Wiltshire Council; Graham Pendlebury, Director of Local Transport, DfT and Lila Tachtsi, Service Director Asset Management, Atkins. In addition Rupert Clubb, ADEPT's immediate Past President is speaking in the Highways UK Conference main theatre during the morning of 8 November providing a local authority view on the Government’s Transport Investment Strategy, progress on the Major Roads Network and achieving a more equitable funding regime across the whole network.
New features for 2017 include a devoted conference to the industry's skills and diversity issues called 'Highways People' and the launch of the Intelligent Infrastructure Challenge. And returning will be the Highways UK Conference, a range of keynote addresses and conversations from senior industry personalities, specialist theatres devoted to maintenance and innovation and technology, a devoted Highways England Theatre and a return of the ever the popular informal supper on Wednesday night.
