The Environment Agency is seeking four new non-executive board members including a chair for the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
The flyer summarises what the roles involve and the qualities and skills being sought, at the appropriate strategic level for an organisation of the Agency’s size and national importance. Defra is seeking a qualified accountant for one of the roles, and hopes to attract applications from people with business experience in a sector relevant to the Agency’s work, or engineering and strategic infrastructure planning experience, or active involvement in local authority networks at senior level.
Defra is particularly keen to increase regional representation on the board, to support the Agency’s role working at local level across England, and would welcome candidates from outside London and the south east.
The closing date is 11 September.
