Presentation slides from the ADEPT Lunch and Learn session held on 28th October 2026 and presented by Aether - Supporting Local Authorities to continue to deliver climate outcomes during a period of significant change.  

As the local government landscape continues to be in a state of flux, the challenges of prioritising and delivering effective climate resilience and mitigation actions are becoming increasingly complex.

Aether shared an insightful presentation exploring how councils can use this period of significant change to rethink and develop new approaches to their emissions reduction and resilience strategies. 

It explored how climate strategies can be delivered which respond to shifting priorities and challenges. Achieving net zero can no longer be just about reducing emissions but must consider how to develop resilient climate action that both delivers a range of benefits to communities from health and well-being to economic growth whilst supporting local areas to withstand future climate risks.
