Leadership Development Programme alumni networking event
We were delighted to welcome our ADEPT Leadership Development Programme alumni to our annual networking event on Monday 29th June.
Expertly facilitated by Andrew Odgers, the event brought senior leaders together to explore how we can overcome barriers to diversity in the place sector and encourage a more diverse senior workforce.
ADEPT President Katie Stewart opened the event, welcoming delegates and ably setting the scene for a day of conversation and debate.
This was followed by an insightful discussion between Zahur Khan and Zeynep Esen on the current state of diversity in senior local government leadership, in which they explored practical actions that organisations can take to create meaningful change and highlighted the importance of authenticity.
We also had a powerful, inspiring talk from Dr Temitope Ademosu, whose thoughtful reflections on community engagement, pride in place, and the role of place in supporting health and wellbeing particularly resonated with delegates.
Following a productive networking lunch, the event concluded with a collaborative problem-solving session, which prompted a wealth of discussion and ideas.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the event such a success, we had a fantastic time, and hope it was a useful experience.
